Hanyang University signed a business agreement with NGL Transportation (hereinafter NGL) at the Westin Anaheim Hotel on August 15.
This agreement includes a $1 million research service contract for the development of a next-generation logistics system, as well as provisions for talent development, the establishment of industry-academia cooperation courses, and NGL industry field training for Hanyang University students.
NGL Transportation is a company established in Arizona, USA in 2006 by alumnus Noh Sang-il (89, Insurance Management) that provides specialized logistics services such as freight transportation, currency exchange, warehousing, and distribution.
The company has grown into one that currently possesses over 220 trucks and more than 550 dedicated container trailers, and in April of last year, it received the Industrial Medal at the ’48th Commerce and Industry Day Ceremony’.
Chairman Noh Sang-il stated, “Just as NGL’s vision is to be the ‘Number One Boundaryless Logistics Platform,’ through this agreement
“We will move forward with the major goal of enabling autonomous movement to the ports, transportation, yards, warehouses, and AI-supported platforms currently in service,” they stated.
