Alumnus Noh Sang-il (Insurance Management ’89) has been appointed as the 2nd Chairman of the Hanyang University International Foundation.

As the first Chairman of the Board, Lee Jong-hyuk (Architectural Engineering ’58), expressed his resignation at the 5th Regular Board Meeting of the Hanyang University International Foundation on November 18, 2022,

Alumnus No Sang-il was elected as the next chairman by a resolution of the International Foundation’s board of directors.

Alumnus Noh Sang-il is currently serving as the President of the Orange County Korean Chamber of Commerce and is the Chairman of NGL Transportation, a comprehensive logistics service company.

NGL Transportation is a company founded by alumnus Noh Sang-il in Arizona, USA in 2006, and provides specialized logistics services such as freight transportation, currency exchange, warehousing, and distribution.

The company has grown into one that currently possesses over 220 trucks and more than 550 dedicated container trailers, and in April of last year, it received the Industrial Medal at the ’48th Commerce and Industry Day Ceremony’.

In particular, NGL Transportation, led by alumnus Noh Sang-il, signed an agreement with Hanyang University in October 2022 for the development of a next-generation logistics system.

We are continuing active exchanges with our alma mater, Hanyang University, such as establishing the No Sang-il HOLMZ space at the ERICA campus with a donation from alumnus No Sang-il.

Meanwhile, the Hanyang University International Foundation has achieved significant fundraising results over the past three years under the dedication and stable management of its first chairman, Lee Jong-hyuk.

I look forward to the future of the Hanyang University International Foundation, which will be led by the next Chairman, Noh Sang-il.
